ZOOM Timetable for November and Club Statement
Lockdown 2 so we ZOOM again!
It was wonderful to get back to teaching our own students and finding out where you were all up to. So during Lockdown 2, rather than teaching you in grade groups, we thought it would be better to keep you with your Sensei on the usual day, at the usual time.If you are still outstanding a refund for dojo lessons and do not wish to take part in ZOOM lessons, please email us as soon as possible to organise this via email: info@redtigerkarateclub.co.uk. We will not be retaining any credit for lessons due to not knowing when we can re-open our dojos.Sensei's will be looking out for a Student of the Month and we will post out a LOCKDOWN medal to those chosen by their Instructor. The booking process is exactly the same as usual. You just book onto your regular class. All bookings that had been made prior to lockdown have been carried over to ZOOM (unless you have logged in and cancelled them). You will receive the link by 4.30pm on the day of the class or by 9.30am on a Saturday morning.ZOOM links cost £6.00 per household, so you only need to pay on one account if there is more than one person taking part. If you have already booked and paid for your lessons in November there is no need to do anything. Our Sensei's will carefully check attendance and add on everyone who has trained. There is also the option to pay £30 for Unlimited Training. This includes every link to every class, every night. It is called ZOOM UNLIMITED NOVEMBER on the APP. You can just pick whichever classes you want to train in and log in using the link at the start time. Our timetable for November can be found below. There were a few classes running back to back due to high demand for Dojo spaces. We don't have these issues on ZOOM so these classes have been put back together. Please check the start time of your class when you receive the link. For example; Reddish Tuesday is back to 6.30-7.30pm for all grades. No 2nd class, please do not log in at 7.30pm.We have also added the following extra classes (all included with unlimited training):
- Kata class with Kata Champ Grace Baron
- Kumite class with Kumite Champ Molly Austin Hogsden
- Black Belt class with Paul Wolstencroft Sensei
As I'm sure you will all appreciate, the timetable is full and there is a lot of plates to spin behind the scenes to keep us all training. If you do not get your link and your class is about to start, please message your own sensei to ask for it. We are using a new system and from time to time mistakes can be made and I apologise. We are all trying our best at this crazy time!

RTK and JKS England News
I am writing to inform you that as of now, RTK has become an independent Association. We have obtained group insurance cover for all of our members and will continue to operate under the English Karate Federation - the Karate Governing Body recognised by Sport England. From today; new RTK licenses will be to issued upon joining to new members.Current licensed members will receive the new book upon renewal. You'll be able to do this via the online shop over the next few days. If you have renewed in the last three weeks and haven't received your EKF chit, I will be sending this and the new license book out in the post today. The decision to part ways was a mutual and amicable one. We have been proud members of JKS England for the last six years and hope that the group goes from strength to strength. We've made many friends and had great experiences over the years and we will always be grateful. We will certainly miss being part of the JKS global family and have nothing but respect for the Organisation. For now, this decision is the right one for our Club and our members. We will move forward with the same motivation and passion for karate that we have always had. We'll continue to provide high quality tuition to our members and Instructors. We will continue to seek out and learn from the leading coaches and competitors both in the UK and Worldwide. Please be assured that our Instructor team are the hardest working, most positive group of karateka. Students who are concerned about Dan gradings etc. need not worry. As soon as it is safe to organise this special event, we will make it happen. Keep training, keep pushing and stay ready!
