About Red Tiger Karate Club
Red Tiger Karate is a community Karate Club based in the North West of England that works to encourage as many people as possible to become involved in Shotokan Karate and become physically active. Our office is based at 39 Moorside Rd, Tottington, Bury. BL8 3HP.
Like all other organisations who collect and use personal data we are subject to the requirements set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We take our responsibility to look after personal data very seriously and we ensure that respecting privacy is at the heart of all we do.
Red Tiger Karate Club is working with the English Karate Federation to process membership applications and license students to practise Shotokan Karate. Both parties work as data processors and data controllers. A copy of the English Karate Federations Privacy Policy can be found here:

Why we need to collect your personal data
Our primary purpose for collecting personal data is to process your membership application for the purposes of joining and participating in the activities of Red Tiger Karate Club and the English Karate Federation.
Our Instructors also need access to contact details for the purposes of contacting next of kin in the event of an emergency. You will also be regularly kept informed of last minute closures and timetable changes etc. We will also keep you up to date with Club events and our latest news.
We are required to collect your information by the English Karate Federation and securely pass this information on to their data controller.
The lawful basis for collecting your personal data under Article 6 of the GDPR is consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting info@redtigerkarateclub.co.uk

For the purposes of contacting you in the event of an emergency. You may also be contacted by your Instructor or the Club regarding classes, last minute closures, timetable changes and keeping you up to date with Club events and our latest news.

How long we will keep your data
We will keep your data for as long as you are active in the club. You can notify s if you no longer wish to take part in our classes via info@redtigerkarateclub.co.uk or by putting your request in writing to the address detailed above. If you notify us that you have left, we will immediately delete your information.
