New Assistant Instructor: Congratulations Linda Whipp
Linda Whipp Assistant Instructor Assessment - 05/10/22
Assessed by: Sensei Mike and Sensei Leesa Beckwith
Sensei Mike has kindly done a write up from the assessment -
“Huge congratulations to Sempai Linda Whipp who has passed her Assistant Instructor assessment tonight. Yet another Sempai from Sensei Teresa’s Chesham class! She has probably been working through her book with Sensei Teresa for a long time but confidence, Covid and the small matter of a Shodan grading have managed to get in the way of her completing it. “
“Linda was clearly nervous throughout the assessment but, just as she does with her Karate, she dug in and ploughed through to get the end product she desired and deserved!”
“There is so much in our syllabus to cram into an hour but Linda had her timings planned exceptionally well. Her teaching was clear and concise with some humour and humility thrown in too. She managed to use her Cadet Leaders / Assistants to good effect to demonstrate anything she personally struggled with.”
“From a Lady who was lacked a little confidence Karate-wise when I first met her, something has just clicked in the last 12 Months or so. Linda has been so dogged and determined to pass her Shodan, and now her Assistant Instructor assessment.”
“You can’t help but admire someone so determined and be so pleased for them when they achieve their goals. Linda put a great class together and I am sure will become a valued member of the instructor team under the watchful eye of Sensei Teresa. Congratulations again Linda, thoroughly deserved.”
“We are so pleased for you.”
What a way to top off a very successful week in the Whipp household as Linda’s daughter Molly passed her purple belt at our Haslingden grading on Monday 3rd. Well done to you both!
This is what our Club is all about - families training and achieving great things together together. Spending quality time exercising, having fun, gaining confidence and encountering one another to be better than the day before.
Amazing work.
Big thanks to Mike and Leesa Sensei for conducting the assessment on their only night off from karate! As always, your efforts are much appreciated.
Well done to Teresa Sensei who has produced yet another excellent Assistant Instructor. You are brilliant :-)
