Cadet Leader & Assistant Instructor Selections Class - 15/1/2023

Assistant Chief Instructor Mike Beckwith Sensei and I held our first post-Covid Cadet Leader & Assistant Instructor Selections Class.

It was our first event of the year and was well attended. We were so pleased with the standard and enthusiasm of everyone taking part. The purpose of this class is to teach you, how to teach our students. You all worked hard, listened attentively and did your best from beginning to end.

We would like to wish you all a warm welcome to our Instructor Training programme that has been hugely successful over the years producing over 45 Instructors since it first started back in 2008.

We’ve seen juniors go from Cadet to Assisant, and now they work alongside us as Sensei’s, producing excellent students of their own. You role in our classes is so very important. We appreciate each and every one of you.

There is a few thank you’s to do before we list the names of those selected, so first and foremost thank you to the parents who got up early on Sunday morning to bring our cadets.

Thank you to all the Sensei’s who showed up and taught, took part or watched. We weren’t sure how many people to expect and your help was much appreciated. Thanks to Assistant Instructor Jaime Pratley, Sam Jackson Sensei and Callum Miles Sensei who helped teach the Cadets and John & Helen Dolan Sensei and Kelly Dawson who helped teach the Assistants with Mike Beckwith Sensei. Thanks also to Paul Towler for taking photos at this event. There are some brilliant shots and I think you managed to capture how much fun we all had.
