Joe Kellaway Sensei Course for Ukraine
I am sure you are all aware of the utterly devastating position the people of Ukraine now find themselves in. So I am writing to you to share a message on behalf of Joe Kellaway Sensei (England's Top Ranked Kumite Fighter) who is kindly teaching an online course to raise funds for those who are desperately in need of help at this terrible time. We fully support Joe Sensei and would encourage anyone to take part or donate if you can.
The course will take place this Sunday 6th March from 11.30am-12.30pm on ZOOM.
Suggested donation is £10.
Even if you cannot make it to the course, feel free to still donate what you can.
Joe Kellaway Via Instagram:
"As we all know, it’s a terrible time for the people of Ukraine and it’s even more sad that we all know fighters that have stopped their training & competition to fight for their county in this war.
After seeing @iamhoruna post, I had an idea to teach an online seminar to raise money to send to @aantonnikulin (Head coach of Ukraine). This will go towards the people & soldiers of Ukraine purchase supplies to keep their country going. Let’s give back and help the people we look up to @anzhelika_terliuga @iamhoruna @irinazaretska_ @rizvantalibov @cheb_lt @galinka_melnyk @anita_serogina
The seminar will £10 donation (you can chose to add more if you can spare)
I will be teaching the session this Sunday 6th March 11:30am-12:30pm uk time
I hope you can help support our friends in Ukraine.

There are plenty of Instructors who have already booked gradings in and you will receive an email if you/your child has been invited to grade. You will need to register in advance and pay online in order to take part in any gradings. We can then make sure that we have the correct belt colours and sizes for those expecting to grade.

These have just come back in stock and can be ordered online by following the link below. Gum shields and groin guards are recommended but not compulsory. Orders can be delivered to your home for a small charge or collected from your class free of charge.

We have recently written an article on behaviour and etiquette in class. It would be useful to read this and make sure that not only is your karate going to impress the examiners, but also your conduct in the dojo. Our Instructors will be going over etiquette in classes with the students but it will work even better if you can make sure this is reinforced by Mums and Dads at home. Here is a link to the article by Paul Wolstencroft Sensei:
