New website and new social media

I am sure most of you will have seen that we have a brand new website (well you’re on it now!) built by Sempai Mark Jepson from the Stockton Heath Dojo. Thank you to all the students who have popped on to have a look and for all your kind comments. If you haven't already seen it, have a look:

www.redtigerkarateclub.co.uk

Rob Head Sensei and Teresa Withington Sensei have been busy updating our social media accounts on a regular basis.

We have an Instagram page, Facebook Group page and a Twitter account.

Check them out if you haven't already. This is our easiest way to keep parents and students involved with what is going on in our classes. We've just had our Kata and Kumite competitions and there are plenty of medals winners with big smiles all over our social media!

WKF World Championships results

The WKF World Championships have taken place in November in Dubai. The karate on display was incredibly inspiring. These World-class athletes are training relentlessly, day in day out to reach this level. The EKF team unfortunately did not manage to medal at this event but there were some great performances from our English athletes.

Team Japan topped the table at the event with JKS Hombu Dojo Instructor Koji Arimoto Sensei winning a Team Kata Gold for the 2nd time. Arimoto Sensei has visited and taught at our Club in both 2016 and 2018 and our seniors have trained many times with him at the headquarters in Japan. He is also a Manchester City Fan (I might have made that up haha but he was very grateful for his top!).

We are delighted to see him enjoying the success he thoroughly deserves. He is exceptionally talented and a very humble person.

All results can be found here....

Highlights from the final day including Arimoto Sensei's incredible performance can be found on You Tube via this link:

The video is 8 minutes long but well worth the watch.

Student Licenses

We still have a large number of students training whose licenses have expired (licenses should be renewed every 12 months). Please can you check if your license is in date and renew as soon as possible if you are still training. We have to send through an accurate estimate of our membership to the EKF before the end of the year and there are far more students training than are licensed.

If you need to renew, please do so via this link.....

If you are a beginner and have completed more than 4 lessons you also need to get a license to continue training, please follow this link.....
